Dear Christine & Robert,
Last Saturday, Patty Fabyanic and I attended our Sodality meeting, and the Prefect asked us to give a brief report on our recent pilgrimage, each of us talking about one thing that we saw or did. Patty talked about our adventure "without' the group and I talked about the Eucharistic Miracle at
Santarem.
But reflecting back on the entire experience has made me realize even more what a wonderful and amazing experience it was.
I am prompted to write to you and thank you for making the pilgrimage possible for us. Indeed I should have written to you long ago.
I can't begin to imagine how much work, effort, prayers, and sacrifices both of you have made to make these pilgrimages possible for us. It truly is a labor of love, and it is God's work.
The spiritual benefits are incalculable, and we are probably not aware of them all. Fr. Zendejas told me that a pilgrimage makes public reparation for sins. Surely the Catholic Church needs that.
Thank you both for making this possible for me and for all of us. While Bob was leading us around, I felt like we were his little flock that he was gathering up —and in a certain sense this is true.
Hopefully some day I will be able to join you again.
Keep up our wonderful apostolate!
Sincerely,
Susan H.
